How Consignment With Us Works:

  • We consign women’s clothing, shoes, accessories, maternity, and selective children's clothing.
  • Bring items in neatly organized bags- please don’t make them too heavy.
    Two standard shopping bag size limit per consignor each day.
  • Items need to be in ‘ready to sell’ condition- clean, no animal hair, free of odor, no rips/snags, buttons sewn on, etc
  • You tell us if you want to pick up what we do not consign (on any of the following three business days) or if you would like items to be donated.
  • 50/50 split: you are paid half (50%) of the final selling price after the item sells.
  • We set all the prices, taking into consideration: brand, condition, appeal, age, and demand.
  • We display your items for 90 days: if they do not sell, they will be donated unless you schedule a pick up date a few (2-3 days) prior to the expiration date. Expiration dates can be found in your online Consignor Access account, or by asking a staff member. 
  • Items may sell at a discounted price. Markdowns are determined by The Clothesline Consignment.
  • There are two payment options- check or store credit. We create checks every Monday and Thursday morning before opening. When requesting a check, please allow 24-36 hours for request to be processed. When using store credit, you will get a discount on your entire purchase. Checks can be picked up (free) or mailed (small fee).
  • We are no longer accepting consignments on Mondays.

  • Sizes 0-3X
  • Items purchased within the last two to four years.
  • Brands our customers love: Anthropologie brands, Banana Republic, Patagonia, Lululemon, J Crew, Kate Spade, Free People, Frye, Lucky, and designer denim. Check out our preferred brands list here.
  • Maternity clothing
  • Very select children’s clothing (newborn to Size 10/12)

  • Ask while at the store shopping;
  • Call us during business hours;
  • Send us a DM or email to request this information;
  • Consignor Access Website Login for Existing Consignors

Each new consignor contract asks for an email address, which will be sent a link to our 3rd party online account portal, Consignor Access. If you need a new invitation email sent, confirm your email with us and we will have one resent. Check your junk mail (just in case). 

Store credit cannot be directly used to purchase on the website. If you are shopping on, and message us the items you are trying to purchase, we can usually pull those and take them off your account credit. 

Store credit does not expire and may be used any day of the week, including sale days. Some exceptions apply.
